MSN’s Live Search: An attempt to grab more market share of the search industry.
MSN is trying hard to address the stiff competition in the search sector. Google and Yahoo are still ahead of MSN in this field and giving MSN a hard time. Yahoo has recently launched Yahoo Site Explorer (beta). Microsoft's Live Search, Live.com is up now, in my opinion a bit late.
You are taken directly to Live Search page soon after clicking “Search Web” button on normal MSN Search page. Live search features all the search industry standards such as images, news, video, books, products and feeds. Some sections like video search, QnA, products search and books search are still in beta.
QnA is an interesting feature of Live Search, you can post a question, answer a question and also vote but you need to get registered with a unique nickname.
This service is new and many of its features are still in beta, so a lot to explore yet. Explore Live Search to learn more.
